About The Group

Our group is dedicated to providing a supportive, educational, and empowering environment for frontline workers, therapists, and caregivers who experience the profound impact of vicarious trauma. We aim to build resilience, enhance self-care practices, and develop coping strategies for managing the emotional toll that comes with helping others in crisis.

Objectives:

To foster a safe space where participants can openly discuss the challenges and emotional impacts of their roles.
To provide tools and resources to recognize, understand, and mitigate the effects of vicarious trauma.
To cultivate skills for self-care, boundary-setting, and stress management.
To build a supportive community where members can learn from one another’s experiences and share insights.
Our goal is to help frontline workers sustain their well-being while continuing to provide essential services to those in need. Together, we can build resilience and develop practices that support both personal and professional growth.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

I’m Saba Sadeghi-Mehr, and I have five years of experience working with a diverse range of individuals, including students, adults, adolescents, seniors, and immigrants. Over the past two years, I’ve also had the privilege of working with Women, LGBTQ, and non-binary individuals in support groups, which has deepened my understanding of their unique experiences and needs.

My approach to therapy is rooted in Solution-Focused Therapy, which focuses on practical strategies and solutions to help clients overcome challenges and enhance their well-being. Through my work in support groups, I’ve seen how crucial community can be in fostering resilience and recovery from trauma.
