Anxiety Disorder
Anxiety disorder is a mental health condition characterized by excessive, persistent fear or worry that interferes with daily life. It includes various types, such as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, and social anxiety, often causing physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, restlessness, or difficulty concentrating. While occasional anxiety is normal, anxiety disorders involve heightened responses to stress without a clear cause, requiring therapy, medication, or lifestyle changes to manage effectively.
Book A Free SessionA Message From Darren.
If you are reading this now, know that you are never alone. I’m Darren, a freelance marketer, and my dream has always been to become one of the top names in the industry. But my journey hasn’t been as smooth as I imagined. At 29, I was thriving as a freelance marketer at a fast-paced creative agency. It was the perfect environment where my passion for artistic expression met the thrill of tight deadlines. Yet, behind every project, I found myself caught in an overwhelming cycle of anxiety.
The perfectionist in me wanted every design, campaign, and pitch to be flawless. I worried endlessly about client feedback—whether it was good enough, whether I’d meet expectations. Over time, it started to take a toll. Each project felt heavier than the last, and social settings became harder too. I’d catch myself overanalyzing every conversation, worrying about how I was being perceived, and eventually started avoiding gatherings altogether.
The anxiety didn’t just stay in my head; it showed up physically—racing heart, tight chest, restless nights. Even with support from people close to me, it was tough not to feel alone in the struggle, as if I should just “snap out of it.” My career was at stake, my relationship dwindling. I began to wonder if I could keep up with my passion for marketing without letting anxiety win.
If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know you’re not alone. Anxiety doesn’t define us, and it’s not the end of the road. I’m still learning how to manage it—through self-care, therapy, and taking things one step at a time. And despite the challenges, I still believe in my dream. We can pursue what we love and take care of our mental health, too.
THIS CAN BE YOU!

Suffering From Anxiety?

Anxiety in Men
Â
According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), about 14.3% of men in the U.S. experience an anxiety disorder in any given year, compared to 23.4% of women. Lifetime prevalence data suggests that 31.1% of adults will experience anxiety at some point in their lives, with men making up a significant portion of this statistic.
The CDC highlights that mental health issues like anxiety remain underreported among men due to stigma, social norms, and a tendency to downplay emotional struggles. This can lead to delays in seeking treatment, increasing the risk of more severe mental health complications over time
